La Marzocco
Bruno and Giuseppe Bambi founded La Marzocco in 1927 in Florence, Italy. What began as a metalworking studio grew into a company built on hand-crafted, high-quality stainless steel espresso machines. La Marzocco introduced the first horizontal espresso boiler in 1939 and the first dual-boiler espresso machine in 1970.
The Linea, released in the early 1990s, helped fuel the expansion of espresso bars across America and established La Marzocco as a standard for quality. In 2009, the Strada redefined espresso technology by bringing baristas directly into the design process for the tool they use every day.
La Marzocco has grown its presence worldwide alongside the rise of specialty coffee culture, with branch offices in multiple countries. Every machine, though, is still handmade in Florence.
